Mass Surya Namaskar to on National Youth Day at BRAUSS
Swami Vivekananda inspired youth to connect with culture- Prof DK Sharma, VC



"Indian spirituality sends a message of cultural consciousness into the whole world and Swami Vivekananda has taught the world the lesson of humanity. Vivekananda has taught "Vasudhaiv Kutumbakam" to the whole world whichmeans the whole world is one family. Vivekananda's thoughts always inspire us. We celebrate the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda as Youth Day. Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University of Social Sciences Vice-Chancellor Prof. D.K. Sharma said this while addressing the Yout Day participants at the Buddh Vihar in the university on Thursday evening. He was presiding over the programme organized jointly by Vivekanand Chair and Yogic Science department of the university.

Prof. Sharma said that every student should follow the path of Swami Vivekananda and move towards physical, mental and spiritual development. Swami Vivekananda connected Indian culture with Vedanta and established it on the international stage. Continuous practice of Surya Namaskar can prevent various diseases and we all also need to practicing yoga continuously.

Yoga workshop was conducted by Dr Santosh Gujre while Meenakshi Mehr, Rajesh Patel and Dr. Basant Kumar Shinde demonstrated various yoga exercises including Surya Namaskar and participants followed them.

Dr Shailendra Mani Tripathi, Pradeep Kumar, Savita Chauhan, Arun Kumar, Dr Dhanraj Dogre, Dr Kaushalendra Verma, Dr Ramshankar, Sangeeta Masani, Research Officers, Faculty, Guest Scholars, Visiting Faculty, Research scholars, Students and staff of the university took part in the Youth Day programme .

Dr. S.K. Sheetal Jha proposed the Vote of Thanks.
